CAME-RO LTD

Our experience with Came-Ro was fantastic from start to finish. We had a removal from London to Madrid to do for a large family, which included a high volume of furniture and other items such as bicycles, a motorbike and even a large plant pot. Came-Ro where highly professional with all communications throughout. The team that came to do the packing where equality professional, friendly and caring in their handling of all our belonging.

We used the groupage service and it was well worth it. It did not take long for our shipment to arrive and we were kept up to date with all timings. I was concerned with the unpacking due to the area where we moved, since it's full of narrow streets without a lot of space for parking. The team was prepared for this instance and did several trips from the lorry outside Madrid to our location with a smaller van. They kept the number of trips to a minimum (3) and the team doing this was just as friendly and professional.

All in all it was a fairly painless experience. I was quite daunted by it as I have never done such a large international move, and I'm happy we entrusted Came-Ro with it as they went above and beyond to deliver and delight. Highly recommendable.

AVOID THEM! TERRIBLE SERVICE!

I would give them ZERO STARS!

They are completely unorganised it takes them ages to deliver your stuff and both times to Load and unload they sent 1 guy by himself so we personally had to help.

It took them almost 2 months to deliver our goods rather than the 2 weeks they said!

They never keep you updated on anything, you have to constantly chase them and when they finally reply they provide vague excuses!

Then the delivery happened without any notice nor the final invoice (that we are still waiting to receive) and we had to pay in a rush else they were not unloading!

VERY VERY BAD- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

The only good thing is George the delivery guy who did all his best to help us out during drop off. Despite his boss told him to leave everything on the street level we begged him to carry things up to the 1st floor (although on the contract it stated differently)

They are so bad even the delivery guy told us that was his last job with them and that he was quitting this awful company.

Unreliable and full of excuses!

I had an excellent experience with Camero-ltd! They were incredibly efficient and managed to complete the move much quicker than I expected. The driver went above and beyond, even helping my elderly parents arrange the boxes, which was a thoughtful and appreciated touch. Not a single item was damaged during the move, and everything was handled with care. Communication throughout the process was flawless, with timely updates at every step. I would definitely use their services again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and professional moving company!

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY.

Underhanded, fraudulent business practices, unprofessional staff who lack conflict resolution skills. Hired them to move from Liverpool to Brussels.  Had 9m3 of belongings, not the cheapest at 2.3k, but agreed, paid in full, in advance. Julie, our contact person, immediately pushed for 18m3. We explained that we have done multiple international moves, last one being months before so we are well versed in measuring our belongings, and were certain this was accurate.

John, the driver shows up, loads the truck. It is an 18cm3 truck, (minus 2m3 account for the sleeper cab that takes up some of the space in the box) John tells us we have 18cm3, pushing for the 18m3 again. I tell him that in order for it to be 18m3, the truck would have to be filled top to bottom, front to back, which it was not.

After about an hour on the road, Julie contacts us, tells us we have 18cm3 and now are required to pay another £400, now giving them precedence to hold our belongings hostage until the amount is paid, as John had repeated to us on several occasions, and was clearly stated on the contract. My wife and I discussed this in French in the truck, and we were not pleased as we now realized the position we’ve been put in. John who is Romanian, understood French perfectly, despite us asking him, and him lying to us. (John made reference to a conversation i had with our new landlord in french, which clearly demonstrated fluency, and that he lied.) He relayed our disdain back to Ciprian. My wife and I discussed in French that we are not going to pay this amount because we measured all our boxes and were 100% sure of the volume. A few hours later, John and Ciprian have a phone conversation concerning our disdain, and how much extra they think they can get us to pay, (conversation recorded and translated). John passes the phone to my wife, where Ciprian tells us we can pay the 400 in € instead of £. When we get off the phone, I tell my wife in French that this is still not acceptable. John drops us at our location, but had to unload the next morning. John sleeps in his truck. The next morning I call Ciprian. He agreed with me that we did have 9m3, yet still wanted more money. In realization that they still had our belongings I offered him 100 euros, but he went further and counter offered at 150, for an overage he just agreed was unjustified.

John showed up 4 hours late to unload. Ciprian gave us the responsibility of calling John to attempt to wake him as he is a heavy sleeper and is sleeping in his truck!? Wholly unprofessional.

John broke a 120 year old wood door in front of our new landlord by slamming his 300lbs into it to to open it, and damaged a brand new couch that had to be pried out of the truck.

This company attempted to charge us £2734 to move 9m3 457 miles. This is excessive seeing as how Mr.Monk (check the reviews), a previous client, was charged £2600 to move the same amount of goods 1530 miles, a few months earlier.  Julie deflected from all concerns, gave us the most asinine of excuses, threatened a breakdown in negotiations should I contact previous clients, and then simply claimed to be confused about what the issue was.

Julie mentioned that they do charge for the space our goods take up, as well as the space between our boxes, hence they will charge for the full capacity of the truck regardless of how much of the truck is filled, but failed to mention this before we made the initial payment in full.  When she attempted to change us the extra £400, she told us they charge by volume, not by truck?!?! Playing both sides….

We considered taking them to court. Decide it against it. I have lived on 4 different countries on the planet, never ever had I had to deal with the amount of pettiness, deflection, of small mindedness and mindlessness that I have had to deal with in the UK. The folks that work here are professionals in what would be considered fraudulent and illegal business practices in most other countries. It will be interesting to see how this review will be deflected and minimized further….

We decided to use this company s services last week in order to import our stuff from the UK to CH. We had no information in advance about the process and the required documents only one of their colleagues ensuring on the phone that everything will be explained to us. By the time of collection, they sent a driver, who could not really communicate in English, and he told us to print and sign 1844 form and give it back to him. Because of their unprofessionalism and since we have been asked to send our passports and our flat contract only, our stuff was stuck to the German borders and we had to go there in person to fix this. After insisting a lot, they paid us the taxi to be on time in the borders and accepted our request of a free return with the company s van. By the time we arrived in the borders the border officer provided us with a full list of documents missing and explained us the full procedure. We were shocked when we realized that the document, we had signed was sent to the borders blank!. They never informed or sent us any documents to complete before leaving the UK and the response we got when we asked was only a confirmation that everything will be fine but they actually had no idea about the documents required so the driver can pass the border control. When we contacted the manager of the company he made a massive effort to convince us that 9 out of 10 people who import goods in CH have to visit the border themselves or send further documents due to minor details because Swiss Customs are extremely particular and each individual customs clearance is completely unique. However, as we informed by the border officers the list of documents required are available online in English version and for free. In our case there were major things missing from our documents which is part of the clearance service we had paid the company. After more than two hours in the borders and completing all the documents on our own we managed to release our stuff. Because of our jobs nature we have used a lot of different relocation companies before but this one was by far the worst by unnecessarily putting their customers in severely distressing situations as a result of their inadequacy. Even though this company seems cheaper than others I would not recommend to anyone! They do not accept their mistakes and they are quite rude in their approaches.

As we all know, moving personal belongings is very daunting, and an exercise filled with stress and worry. This is until I had the privilege and good fortune to get in touch with easily the best removal company I have ever dealt with. From the moment of my first contact all the way through to the delivery of my goods, this removal company has been nothing more than top class. The friendly, professional, efficient and personal manner in which my move was dealt with is an indication of the exceptional professional caliber of the Team. Here I would like to especially thank Julie D for patiently answering, organizing, advising and generally facilitating the whole move thereby making me feel that my precious personal belongings are in good hands. Big thank you to you and the rest of the Team. I wish you all the very best and will happily refer this company to anybody that will require this service. We moved from UK to France in the summer 2020.

We have been facing numerous problems during the move: 9h late to pick up the goods on a timing given the day before / delivery was postponed by two days. I was made aware only because I called them, got informed that the truck had a break down. on some reviews the same excuse is given. - Goods (armchair, bed, chests, drawer cabinet) arrived DAMAGED and they do not want to use their insurance wrongly claiming their Terms and Conditions. Neither of the clauses releases CAME-RO LTD from their obligations to safely handle, transport and store major items of furniture such that they are not damaged. Any damage to such items resulting from inappropriate handling, transportation and/or storage is to CAME-RO LTD account.

We have been asking for the insurance details, they never shared anything. this is putting a doubt if they do have one.

They wrongly charged my visa card, it took 55 days to get paid back!

We have been using movers in the past, we never experienced such a bad service and customer care.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: £1590

Following the hard Brexit, I decided to vote with my feet and leave UK and go back to France. I had several quotes from different companies. Some companies specialized in moving overseas offered very expensive quotes (> £3000) as they offered all the bells and whistles as packing your goods for yourself, unplugging washing machine, etc... One company was slightly cheaper but their communication by emails was very poor and they did not understand my basic questions which worried me... With Came-ro, from the start to the end, I was well surprised: communication by numerous emails/phone calls with Julia was excellent. Julia understood very well what I wanted: being able to travel myself to France with the truck driver and helping him loading/unloading the truck. No other company in UK can offer this service; they don t want their own customer in their truck. I found out that only came-Ro offered this option at a fair price and potential customer should think about it. Finally the service provided by the driver Vassili was great. He knows well his job and does it very well, protecting fridge, washing machine, my expensive bike with blankets. My mattress was entirely protected with a huge plastic bag provided by Came-Ro. For safety purpose he used ropes to tights goods in the truck so nothing was moving. He took his time - over 2 hours - and thought it methodically when we stored all the goods in a very small warehouse (5 m2). He speaks English well.

I will certainly have no objection to contact them again.

We moved our entire household from the UK to Berlin. It was daunting as it was in the middle of the pandemic and the whole move was being delivered to a storage unit whilst we were quarantining in Berlin.

Julie was very helpful and reassuring in the run-up and the guys who collected our stuff were extremely hardworking and polite. We ended up having more stuff than anticipated so they organised another vehicle very quickly.

The staff did a great job getting our stuff there in difficult times with long queues at Dover etc due to imminent Brexit which must have been difficult.

The only thing stopping me from giving 5 Stars was the fact that our storage unit was fairly chaotic when we first opened it and could have been packed in a better way to avoid breakages.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: £3000

I was super stressed about how to get my belongings from London to Germany, while I was already in Germany and really didn't understand the new customs process after Brexit. I only had 8 boxes of clothes and personal stuff, which I packed before my departure(don't forget to write down what you pack in each box).

Chloe from Came-Ro was super helpful and patiently answered my million questions before I confirmed the booking. She told me exactly which documents I needed to provide and they sorted everything out. Which was great, as many other companies will leave this completely to you or charge hundreds of pounds for this service (which is ridiculous given it is all personal effect and customs-free if you provide proof of it being a personal move).

I signed the booking confirmation Monday, boxes picked up on Wednesday evening and Friday evening everything was delivered. There was a slight misunderstanding on when/how the last payment should be made, but they were super accommodating and helpful and it was sorted without any problems. Would definitely recommend them from my personal experience, the price is fair and very good value and service for your money.

I moved a bedroom + 5 bicycles and some workshop equipment. Everything was easy, from the first quotation to the pick up and delivery. Julie was always fast and clear in her response and everything was managed very well. Also when due some unforeseeable circumstance, there was a misunderstanding for the delivery in Italy, all the problem was very quick managed and solved so there were no delays in the drop off. I was very pleased also that they managed to stay inside the schedule that they gave me at the beginning also during a pandemic and brexit. Well done. At least but not last the boxes were very well handled, with care. No breakage in any of the stuff. Thumb up!

We moved our entire household from the UK to CH during the pandemic, including delivering to a storage unit till we had found our permanent apartment in CH. 

Julie was very helpful in the run-up and close up and the guys who collected our stuff were extremely hardworking, polite and efficient. (Although hardly spoke English) 

Once we requested the furniture, the turnaround was impressive. We had received our stuff within a few days. The staff did a great job getting our stuff over to Switzerland and into our apartment. We did not have any trouble with the papers for custom as everything was provided beforehand and communicated clearly. 

We had some small damage to one of our furniture due to transport or storage but even this got dealt with swiftly and professionally. 

Would definitely recommend them from my personal experience, the price is fair and very good value and service for your money.

Worst experience for moving.

We agreed on a day for pick-up and we were told the exact time they will let us know the day before. We had to chase them all day the day before for a time, and we were told it will be 12-2pm, but we will be given some short notice before the truck arrives. When I called at 12 they said "it will be 5pm", when I called at 5pm they said the driver is still 2 hours away. None of the updates were coming from Came-Ro, I always had to chase them.

When setting up the move we asked for the items to arrive around 5 working days later, and we were told that is perfectly possible. The contract says "approximately 7-14 days", but we were told by the office that no worries, it will arrive whenever we want. So 5 working days later I ask how about an update? The answer is always "we will know the estimated arrival time tomorrow". This went on for over 2 weeks!! We were in quarantine in an empty flat, and our belongings haven't even left the UK. When I said "contractually you really have to be here by the date when the 14 working days are over (almost 3 weeks)", I was just told, "well the contract says approximately so you have no way of asking for any compensation because we are not late".

Eventually the items arrived on the 16th working day - that is over 3 weeks, with some of our things broken or dented. They have obviously been throwh around a lot. Also the communication was extremely disappointing, they obviously knew that our belongings will not leave the UK on time, but we were always just told "we'll have an update tomorrow". Which they never had, and they never reached out with any kind of update, I always had to be the one calling. There was even the excuse after 14 working days that they can't enter Switzerland becasue trucks are not allowed to use the highways on the weekend. Well, that is not new information for a company in the removal business maybe they should have left the UK days (or weeks!!) earlier to deliver our belongings on time??

Moving my stuff from London to Amsterdam was not an easy task, but team Came RO, made it easy for me. Everyone in the team was so helpful including the operations staff (who always responded my calls and kept me informed through emails) and the drivers who very clearly picked and dropped the stuff from pick up and drop off locations respectively.

They also quoted the least amount in comparison to others and as promised they have me two week storage cost discount.

I also liked their storage facility, which was £10/week.

I would recommend their services.
